Mihoko Shiohata - Osteopathy with a multidisciplinary approach
Mihoko Shiohata has lived in Montreal for more than 10 years and provides osteopathy and lymphatic drainage services in the Plateau-Mont-Royal area. She graduated from Law School in Tokyo, but after several years of experience as a dancer, it is the workings of the human body that finally captured her attention. To gain deeper understanding of the human body she studied pilates, therapeutic yoga, naturopathy and osteopathy. She also practices the self-normalization methods conceived by respected osteopath Guy Voyer, DO, MD.
These techniques are complementary and can be used together: osteopathy is recommended to correct structural problems, self-normalization exercises help maintain an appropriate alignment, yoga trains the physical, mental and psychological state of the patient, and naturopathy heals through adequate nutrition, natural supplements and by favouring the adoption healthy life habits. Together these disciplines keep the human body balanced and in good health.
